Naltrexone And Fibromyalgia

Currently scientists are working on the efficacy of a drug called Naltrexone. This is a drug that has been around for a long time and was used to treat people who suffered with addictions to different substances.

The drug has little to no side effects and scientists have found that in very low doses, it is providing relieve for fibromyalgia patients. When I heard about this drug I decided to try it. I started off with a 1 ml dose and gradually worked my way up to the recommended 4.5 ml. Within a few days all of my morning aches and pains started to disappear. I would get up in the morning feeling good and energetic. It was like a whole new life was starting. My pain was less than normal and quite bearable, but it was the overall disappearance of the aches that really surprised me.

I continued to take the drug for approximately 3 months. At that point I felt great but was starting to notice some mile side effects. I went off the drug and for 6 months remained “ache” free. When it returned I went back on the drug, this time for a few weeks, and then off it again. This time my ache free morning lasted 9 months.

Not many doctors know of this medication and its use for Fibromyalgia. Stanford University in California continues to do studies and are often looking for test subjects. The video above will give you a better explanation of the drug and how it is helping patients with a number of different pain problems.
